Malaysia’s First Ever Knockout­-Stage Appearance at the World Cup of Darts

In a stunning breakthrough, the Malaysian pair Tengku Hadzali Shah (nicknamed “Sabre Tooth”) and Tan Jenn Ming delivered commanding performances during the group stages of the 2025 BetVictor World Cup of Darts in Frankfurt, Germany:

  • Round 1: They shocked 10th-seeded Canada (Campbell & Long) with a decisive 4–1 win 

  • Round 2: They followed up with another 4–1 victory over Denmark (Drue-Reus & Hyllgaardhus), topping Group F and earning a historic spot in the Round of 16

Facing the Czech Republic (Sedláček & Krivka) in the knockout round, they put up a brave fight but were eliminated 8–3Despite the loss, their achievement marks a monumental milestone—for the first time in history, Malaysia advanced beyond the group stage in the World Cup of Darts
